Manmoyi Radio is Nabarlek’s 3rd studio release, recorded at Nabarlek’s solar-powered homeland of 60 people in Western Arnhemland’s rock country. It contains mainly original songs, based on VERY old traditional stories, and a cover of the Men At Work classic “Down Under”. Nabarlek are highly influenced by the sounds of the Eighties but combine this influence with synths and fuzz-rock keyboards. Manmoyi Radio starts and ends with a 2-way radio dialogue of Kunwinj’ku speakers communicating with each other through the bush celebrating their life in remote Australia.
